Optical properties for the highest demands

The SMSc uses a red light-emitting diode (LED) as its light source, which is completely eye-safe and contains no radioactive materials. You can choose between two dot sizes: 4 MOA and 8 MOA, according to individual needs and intended use. In addition, you have the choice of a lens made of either hard-coated, shatterproof acrylic or crystal-clear glass. In both versions, the lenses are free of disruptive filter layers that could distort the sight picture. Thanks to the special anti-reflective coating, the view remains clear and free of disruptive color shifts.

Electronics that convince

Equipped with a long-lasting 3V lithium battery (CR2032), the SMSc offers an impressive battery life of up to 20,000 hours in average daylight. The battery is conveniently located on the underside of the sight, which prevents accidental loss and allows for quick replacement. The brightness of the red dot automatically adjusts to the surroundings within milliseconds. Intensity ranges from night-vision-device compatible up to a brightness of the dot that remains visible against the sky even in bright daylight.

Robust and lightweight design

The housing of the SMSc is made of glass-fiber reinforced nylon polymer and has a matte finish. With a compact size of 40.8x23x22.8 mm and a weight of only 10.3 grams (without battery), the sight is extremely light and handy. Thanks to the SHIELD footprint mount, you can choose from over 100 mounting options to attach the sight optimally. In addition, the SMSc is IP67 certified and can be submerged up to 30 minutes at a depth of 3 feet (approx. 1 meter) underwater.

The SMSc uses SHIELD's patented mechanism, which enables co-witnessing with open sights. This significantly reduces training time and costs, since no click adjustments are required, which greatly improves accuracy when zeroing the sight.
