The Ruffwear Swamp Cooler Zip vest is ideal when you're out with your dog during high-intensity training and need to keep the extra weight it carries to a minimum. The lightweight cooling vest protects against sun exposure and provides pleasant temperatures even under heavy exertion through effective evaporative cooling. Evaporative cooling is made possible by the shade-giving spandex fabric on the back and the Ruffwear Swamp Cooler™ technology on the chest panel, which conducts body heat outward especially effectively.

Easy activation and high comfort

To activate the cooling function, briefly dip the vest in water, wring it out without squeezing too hard, and put it on the dog – it's then ready for sunny adventures. The mesh lining inside keeps the dog pleasantly dry and provides extra comfort. Large armholes allow full freedom of movement, while the close-fitting, zippered design keeps the cooling effect close to the body.

Effective cooling performance and UV protection

The combination of a reflective top layer and an absorbent middle layer maximizes cooling performance. The lightweight spandex fabric on the back offers a UV protection factor of 50+. The Swamp Cooler Zip was previously known as the Jet Stream Jacket. Improvements to the material and cut now provide even more effective cooling and an optimized fit.

The vest is made of a rugged nylon/spandex blend with an outer layer of polyester air mesh, a middle layer of polyester Vilene, and a dry-weave polyester mesh lining. A reliable YKK zipper rounds off the high-quality construction and ensures a long service life.
